Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide superior and quality service to customers through efficient and accurate financial transaction processing. This is a full-time position (38-40 hours per week). The person hired will work Monday through Friday and rotating Saturdays.
Responsibilities
Provide account services to customers by receiving deposits, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks, accepting savings deposits and withdrawals
Balance cash drawer daily in accordance with established policies and procedures
Participate in branch opening/closing rotation schedule
Promotes the bank's products and services; cross-sell bank products
Assist with balancing vault and ATM as needed
Answers basic customers inquires regarding bank products and services
Promote and support teamwork in the branch to ensure a positive overall customer experience
Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
Maintain an awareness of fraud alerts
Must be able to communicate in a friendly and professional manner both in person and over the phone
Occasional lifting of up to 25lbs of coin bags/boxes may be required
Perform additional job related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent education certificate (GED)
6 months previous teller or significant cash handling experience, required
6 months previous new account experience, highly preferred
Computer proficiency with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, required
Ability to adapt to changing work environment
Must be able to work during branch hours of operation
Meticulous attention to detail and time management
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong team player
Demonstrate general knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
