Assistant Childcare Director
Desiree's Daycare Center LLC Desiree's Daycare Center LLC Humble, TX Humble, TX Full-time Full-time $20 an hour $20 an hour The Assistant Childcare Director is responsible for assisting the Center Director in ensuring the health, safety, and quality of education for all children within the center's care.
Under the direction of the Center Director, the Assistant Childcare Director collaborates with staff to ensure that curriculum and classroom activities are properly delivered, the needs of the students are addressed, and the goals of the center are met appropriately.
To be successful, this individual will demonstrate patience and exceptional customer service to parents, visitors, and staff.
Key Duties:
Monitor students' academic, social, and emotional progress and maintain individual files.
On-boarding new employees including:
applicant follow-up, collecting required documentation, and mentoring new hires.
Greet new and existing families daily and assist with center tours.
Ensure center is clean and sanitized at all times.
Ensure the center operates in accordance with company and state regulations.
Supervise all staff and provide support to Center Director as needed.
Complete in-house training that provides insight on child care and development topics.
Qualifications:
Demonstrate a professional attitude and appearance.
Demonstrate regular and prompt attendance.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, parents, co-workers, and supervisors.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software applications.
Knowledge of Texas Department of Family & Protective Services standards preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Must be able to pass a Background Check Must be at least 18 years of age Must have 2 years previous child care experience.
Required Early Educator Training by start date.
Current First Aid and CPR Certification (required to obtain, if offered a position) Must meet state requirements for education and additional center requirements may apply.
