RETIREMENT SERVICES COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST SUMMARY Accurately and timely analyzes all documents, electronic files, non-discrimination testing and other compliance related reports received from a client's prior 401(K) and/or payroll service provider to assure all the required information for Retirement Services to perform the required non-discrimination testing and government reporting has been received.
Contacts clients via telephone and email to obtain outstanding required information to perform annual non-discrimination testing.
Creates email campaigns to collect outstanding information for non-discrimination testing.
Creates client data files to import into testing database via specifications of designated mapping of the client information.
Prepares and files the Form 5500 and Form 8955-SSA for onboarding clients that request the service.
Manages email team box for terminated clients to confirm control group status.
Enters required information into the various software applications used by Retirement Services.
Assists with annual notice preparation of client address files for clients that are in the process of joining the Insperity relationship.
Monitors newly implemented 401(K) plans for situations where only high paid participants are saving.
Under strict deadlines, responsible for finalization and coordination of all compliance related client and participant communications mandated by the Internal Revenue Service and/or Department of Labor.
Assists with tasks associated with annual non-discrimination testing, government filings, plan amendments, qualified domestic relations order processing, and other compliance related tasks.
Prepares and mails all client communications relative to compliance work performed including mail merges for client letters and envelopes.
Serves as a support to other Retirement Services business units to answer technical questions.
Assists with the fulfillment of requests from client accountants during their annual 401(K) audit.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
One to three years of related experience in retirement administration, financial services and/or accounting is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS Some knowledge of qualified retirement plans and relevant regulations and 401(K) plan non-discrimination testing and Form 5500 Preparation.
Communicates tactfully and effectively, verbally and in writing, and maintains effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritize various tasks and regulatory deadlines.
Familiarity with modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment, as well as business letter writing, and competent in correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and arithmetic.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word:
Word document and file merge, and Excel sorting, filtering, and file comparison is required.
Familiarity in working with Microsoft software:
Outlook, PowerPoint and Access.
Strong aptitude with balancing and reconciling financial activity.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
